PNAIRP 2017 Conference

November 8-10, 2017 - Tacoma, WA - Hotel Murano

The themes selected for our 38th Annual PNAIRP Conference are “Orientation, Collaboration, and Innovation.” This year the conference will be held in downtown Tacoma at the Hotel Murano on November 8-10, 2017. It is located in the heart of downtown and offers a unique experience with museum style glass art.

2017 Theme: “Building IR on Sound Foundations: Orientation, Collaboration, and Innovation”

  • Orientation: Helping participants become better oriented with the field of IR, a particular role in an IR office, the Pacific Northwest Region, or a specific institution type or sector
  • Collaboration: Identifying ways IR offices can collaborate across institutions, with internal departments on their own campus, or with external partners such as consortiums
  • Innovation: Providing examples of innovation in tools, methods, or processes that support institutional research, either internally or externally developed

    Early Bird Conference registration is $230 which expires on August 31st and will increase to $270 on September 1st.

    Students: All students interested in attending the conference can register at a reduced rate of $100. Please contact Russ Cannon at

    The conference fee provides entrance to all preconference workshops and concurrent sessions, the keynote presentation, the opening reception on Wednesday evening, full breakfast buffet on Thursday morning, and lunch during the Friday annual meeting. PNAIRP membership ($65 annual dues) is required and will be added automatically to your registration. PNAIRP has reduced pricing options for graduate students not employed full-time.     Rooms at the host hotel, the Hotel Murano, will be available to attendees at the reduced rate of $139 per night. You can make your reservation for the hotel using our custom reservation link.

    Travel Grants and Training Opportunities support the professional development of its members by providing funding assistance (via reimbursement) for travel, fees, and related expenses to the PNAIRP 2017 Conference as well as other professional development opportunities.
